Surely if your using distro x then the maintainers of distro x will be
able to let you know what all the correct permissions are, since, are
they not the ones that originally set them that way in the first place
? And being the gurus that they are I'm sure they could whip up a
little shell script that would fix everything that is in a standard
system. Any modifications you have made will have to be manually
checked though I would imagine...
