[ILUG] Java Training in Ireland?

I have used his thinking in C++. Its excellent but depends on where you are
coming from. If you have significant experience in other languages or have a
basic knowledge of the language but want to extend it then they are
excellent. if you are new to programming they probably dive in a bit too deep
a bit quick.

For java I started with the online tutorial on the Sun website and then used
used the book "Java 2: How to Program by Deital & Dietal which is also good
as a reference book for later on. Also to learn how your programmes work have
a look at http://www.bluej.org/ which was developed specifically has a
programming environment to teach java.... create your classes and test them
without running a full programme.
