[ILUG] BT new broadband OFFER

[ILUG] BT new broadband OFFER

Breno Gomes brenogomes at iolfree.ie

Hi Laurent,

I subscribed the "Talk & Surf" bundle last year. I am happier with BT
than Eircom.

The broadband package includes a ZyXEL 623R-T1. I am using the ethernet
port. The USB tests were fine too.

The USB camera uses an obscure chipset, not fully recognized by Linux.
It seems to be CIF USB Camera 2110, something based on nw802. Apparently
there is another shipment based on Sonix SN9C101 chipset.

My phone bill is much lower than it was a year ago. I would recommend a try.

Hi there,

I saw the adds from BT and checked the btireland.ie site for the new
deal they have on bradband: 49E (including line rental).
This looks good (I am paying more in line rental than phone and wanted
broadband). I did not go all the way yet so not subscribed to it yet.
The question is has anyone here tried the new stuff from them do they
send ethernet "modems" or USB? are they Linux compatible?. I have not
been looking at deals on broadband since smart is not available were i
live and the others were just more expensive than this (when you count
line rental).

so any feedback would be nice :)
