Hello all,
I've been using FreeNX server and the nx clients (linux and windows) from
nomachine.com. The linux client flies along - quite startling really.
The windows
client has problems with performance. It seems to rely on a rather poor
implementation of xwindows. It is also severly upset by personal firewalls and
such.
Anyway, I want to make linux logins available to a number of students, nx is
still on the cards however I would like to pursue rdp a bit given the ease with
which a novice windows/computer user could set it up. No, VNC and SSHVNC
is not really on as its login/session management is not geared towards multiple
users from what I can tell - there may well be a fix for non-novices but that's
not the target audience.
So, anyone know of a free rdp server for linux?
