im used to linux & osx, and i find that the lack of certain packages,
the pckage management system and just the general feel of solaris is
not to my taste.
when im using it, it just doesnt feel right.
however i havent seen anything as stable or reliable, we have a few
solaris machines here and i have never had any trouble with them, so
much so that i never spend any time using them.
which is probably why they feel wierd.
