I believe Seán said he cut and pasted the results (below).
so looking at the raw results he e-mailed, below, we see
there is an extra character — U+00A0 (which happens to
be invisible) — before the `-s', and hence what he
apparently effectively typed was:
ln FILE FILE FILE
which is, of course, _exactly_ what causes the error
shown from ln(1):
| [root at localhost lib]# ln =A0-s /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5
.............................^^^
extra character, turning the
(intended) `-s' option into a
third (unintended) filename.
| ln: when making multiple links, last argument must be a directory
so whilst Seán obviously intended to try Niall's
suggestion, he didn't quite.
