When I enter the correct password, it says "authentication failed", when
I enter an incorrect password, it waits a while, then return to the
login prompt.

I reboot my machine (Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS (2.4.21-27.0.2.EL) and
now I cannot log in.
The password is correct, since I can login to webmin from another PC.
Last time I re-booted at March 3rd 2005, since then I would have applied
most all of the updates offered from the redhat update service, which
(strange timing) expired yesterday.
Not sure what information is relevant to the problem.
