[ILUG] [OT] Create reinstallable backup of Irix

Hi all,
This is fairly off topic but didn't now where else to ask and I know a
lot of you have used more than just Linux. I have recently come in to
possession of an SGI O2 with Irix installed. I have no installation
media however. I would like to try Debian on it
(http://www.cyrius.com/debian/o2/) but would also like to be able to
switch back to Irix for educational purposes if I wanted to. Anyone
have any ideas? Is it possible to create some kind of "ghost" like
image using dd for example? Thanks.
Jonathan.
