The Digium pots hardware works fine on Irish lines. You'll also see 
lots of Asterisk compatible modems (because that's basically what the 
POTS line cards are) advertised on ebay for somewhat lower prices than 
the Digium models. I'd actually quite like to get a couple of those - 
maybe we could organise an ILUG co-buy ?
