"After heated debate over the wording of a motion to keep the list open
to posting from non-subscribers, a motion "That the ILUG mailing list
be closed to posting by non-subscribers" was proposed. There were
three votes for the motion, including Michele Neylon's vote, cast by
proxy. The remainder of the meeting voted against, and the motion was 
declared overwhelmingly defeated by the chairman"
