| I just lost some images due to a camera or card mal-function.

| Has anybody here experience recovering files lost from SD cards
| or similiar due to hardware/software malfunction ?
| Can you suggest methods for recovery, or attempted recovery ?
never used the feature, but dosfsck(1) has
an “undelete” capability. I'd make a copy
of the device first (dd(1)), check the copy
in no-write mode (`dosfsck -n'), and proceed
from there. if anything goes wrong, you can
make another copy of the device and try again.
cheers!
