He's the exception that proves the rule. A few years ago, when he debuted
iTunes/iPod, the music iindustry was extremely pissed off at him. His basic
slogan was "Rip, Mix, Burn", which was equivalent of "F*** you" to the
recording industry.
Now he's their best friend because iTunes is so popular. They're now wanting
to jack up prices, but Steve is, again, telling them to go fornicate
themselves.
He can get away with that stuff because he has a foot in both camps. That's
a very rare thing indeed.
