[ILUG] Waaay off topic...(Eircom CD / Internet Explorer)

Hi all,
Sorry for being way off topic but like most of you I get badgered
into helping neighbours etc with their windows problems and despite
my best efforts not all of them will switch to Linux.

Second time I've seen this problem.... Someone installed the eircom
internet cd onto xp and when you click internet explorer it launches
a registration application for eircom. Selecting cancel hangs the
app (what a surprise)... I trawled through the registry removing any
mention of eircom but couldn't remove the app. Anyone know how to
remove this (I installed firefox in the meantime)...

Thanks (and sorry for the typing...celebrating my msc with a bottle of
champers!!!),

Ruairi
