I am having serious problems with the Irish Broadband connection, Linux
and XP. The connection goes down several times a day, sometimes for a
few hours. When I say the connection goes down, I can still ping my
router, IB and also its gateway, but there is no connection to the
outside world. Are you having similar problems, because you have the
connection as ours? We rang IB this morning and they said there was no
problem with our connection. My friend disconnected the router and
plugged his Mac directly into the ethernet box. He had an internet
connection for about an hour this morning, but its been down ever since.
Has anyone else encountered problems with Irish Broadband. We have a
1Gbps microwave link (called Breeze) pointed at the transmitter on the
old Odlums flour mill in the docklands.
