That got me too but now I understand - the default X config produced  
a signal outside his monitor's specs. He can't fix it with sax 2 on  
other distributions in general but only on SuSE - it's SuSE's X  
configurator. Note to Darragh - you DO understand that Solaris is NOT  
Linux, don't you? It's just your use of "other distributions" made me  
ask that question - apologies if it seems patronising.

Jeebus - even SCO has virtual consoles. Jump right into the nineties,
