I guess I may not have understood this suggestion fully.
1. How does Ghost 4 Linux take an image off a windows box?
2. Do you mean G4L would give me a disk image to write to tape? I doubt
this would be ideal for restoring files from the tapes (in the way of
say tar). I guess we'd have to restore the whole image, mount it loop
and then look at the files.
It may be that the disk image is the only way to preserve this in which
case, I guess this is not a runner :-(
