Hi Gavin,
So, I guess my questions are:
>> 1. Does anyone do d2d2t via linux? If so, what means do you use to
> transport/store the data?
We use Bacula / Amanda solution. Transport is simply TCP/IP
2. Do you have a way to preserve ACLs or am I asking for too much?
AFAIK it's preserving all permissions, either Win specific or *NIX ones.
3. Does anyone have any suggestions for ways to do this with Linux?
Bacula agent on Win/*NIX boxes, transport via network to backup machine.
Bacula Server talking directly to tape device, or Amanda to managing tape
operations.
