[ILUG] window manager suggestion?

I believe "Mod1" is some kind of jargon among multiple window managers
that boils down to Alt on x86 PCs. I know I've seen that term in the
Fluxbox docs, too.

Alt+key is the usual incantation on Window Maker -- e.g., Alt+2 takes
you to workspace = virtual desktop #2 (assuming you've opened more than
the default single workspaced dubbed "Main", using the Workspace Clip).
It's really a very good almost-no-mousing window manager, once you get
the hang of those keyboard shortcuts.

WPrefs, the third icon down on the "dock", can create/edit keyboard
shortcuts as desired.

Am using Blackbox on the work laptop, at the moment. Window Maker
isn't quite as sparse as to system footprint, but does an admirable job
of being out of my way in a functional and aesthetic sense, at least.

Possibly useful: http://main.linuxfocus.org/~georges.t/
