So... how come Solaris is slower than Linux on Sun's own hardware?

I mean... doesn't this seems odd to anyone else? Do you get the feeling
the performance difference is related to something in Apache itself,
in the operating system or what? Is it a case of Solaris does more
stuff, therefore it is slower?
