I have a junior Linux admin and PHP/MySQL development position for a bright,
energetic and motivated (*) person. I'd consider applications preferably for
a full time position but I'd accept someone preferring a 6/12 month contract
if suitable. The requirement is immediate.
The company is the Imag!ne Group and details of us can be found at
www.imagine.ie/index.htm. Requests for more information should be e-mailed to
me with a contact number. CVs to me also indicating salary expectations.
The successful candidate will work both independently (taking ownership of new
projects) and also as part of a very small technical team in Ireland's third
largest telecommunications company.
Just some of the technologies he/she will be exposed to primarily include LAMP
(the usual - Linux/Apache/MySQL(& Postgres)/PHP) along with Smarty templating
and Subversion. Some exposure to our ISP systems including mail
(Sendmail/Postfix/Courier,etc), DNS, Radius, ISP server architectures, Squid,
Asterisk, SIP, Jabber, etc. Also some networking with Cisco / Foundry, BGP,
(*) by this I mean that if you don't have real-world experience in all
the requirements, don't be afraid to apply. It's a junior position. If
you're given a problem and are prepared to learn what you need to know
quickly/efficiently to solve that problem then you're the type of
person we need. The usual job-spec-speak applies: independent worker,
initiative, quick learner, etc. But we mean it!
