 That...looks very like a wiki. Just a wiki. I'd hoped for a lot more. Some
sort of frame work where I could hang db-oriented applications I write, with
basic ones already written, like a wiki, forums, image gallery, download
page, decent user schema I can extend.

 I was pointed at the CMS comparison website, and was *stunned* that there
were 90 odd CMS systems out there. And no clear 'this is good' one. Failing
that, am I better off starting with a python templating system, and then
hacking Moin onto it ?

 I was hoping to use this for user authentication -

 Indeed. And it still seems to be the best contender. I just want a basic
framework I can add to, without getting left behind when new security fixes
come out.
