[ILUG] wireless broadband

[ILUG] wireless broadband

I also have the IBB 2 Mbit Breeze service and find it absolutely excellent.
I regularly get transfer rates in excess of the 2Mbit, up to about 240kb/s
at times.
I have never actually rang the support line, but have heard from others that
it has gone from diabolical to OK in the last while.
The only problem I ever had was that their DNS went down one weekend, so I
just set up my own :-)
The nice thing about the breeze service is that you get a static IP as well.
I used to VPN into home when I was away until I bricked my linksys WRT54G.

I have had IBB 2 meg for a year now. It seriously sucked for most of the
year until I forced them to put me on another high sight.

I went from serious packet loss -> which affects games but more importantly
- VOIP. You simply cannot have VOIP with packet loss.

I sometimes had a connection of 1mbit (on a 2mb) but more often 35k to 65k.

YMMV, my experience was terrible, fortunately all is now resolved (11 months
later). If only the were competent enough to actually charge me for the
service. Believe me I have tried to give them money, many, many, many times.
