Yes - amongst others I guess upstart will address parallelism of
start scripts, which would be nice, as would some tidying up (I wrote
a script called show_crons to let me see how on a strange box a
periodic job might be run) but the idea seems to be to replace an
awful lot of stuff with upstart. There will be tears.
