Why are init.d scripts so precious? The blog entry linked to explains
pretty clearly how they are not suited to modern systems, whether
servers or desktops. Why are people assuming Canonical are going to
screw this up? This is free software, nobody can stuff broken crap down
your throat unless you let them.
