Hi I am having problems with getting my wireless card working, it's a
Belink, I been at it all day. So here want I have done . I'm using Ubuntu
6.06

I installed Dapper.

Installed ndiswrapper

Used the GUI to set it up

Came up as ra0, worked fine

Restarted computer , in networking configuration GUI it said the wireless
is active.

Did a iwconfig came up as wlan0. With ESSID ="Off /any". Doubled checked
with network configuration GUI , it says the ESSID is what it supposes to
be.

Did an ifdown and ifup of wlan0 , got" DHCIPDISCOVER on walan0 to
255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 11( repeats with different numbers) No
working leases in database sleeping".

I even add the essid manually in /etc/network/interfaces.

Ever thing works fine in windows

I know the wireless is working as my PDA can connect

Other information:
chip set RT61
Router D-Link Wireless ADSL, connect to a eircom netopia ADSL modem, vi an
Ethernet cable.

I hpoe some one can help me
