I think that now would be the time to answer the question posed by Matej
earlier on:

    '"goes to" and "goes as" -- can you elaborate on these?'

When you send a message from fedora.example.com to walter, can you
explain:

  - what server you want the mail to go to first (ie: the server named
    in the "Connecting to..." message of the 'mail -v' output)
  - who you want the message to appear to come from
  - who you want the message to be addressed to

At the moment I can't tell if we are getting closer or just running in
circles.
