Why not try it out and see if it does what you want. Try:

rpm -qa | head -10 | xargs rpm -qi --whatrequires

(note I added a 'q' to your second rpm command--pretty sure that is required)

This will give you output for a small sample size. If it is what you
want to see, blast it out for all your RPMs. :)
