Hi Thomas,
You should check where the "system-config-network" tool reads/writes,
otherwise someone else might accidentally put different routes there..
e.g.
::::::::::::::/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-eth1
::::::::::::::ADDRESS0=1.1.1.0
NETMASK0=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY0=192.0.2.254
ADDRESS1=2.2.2.0
NETMASK1=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY1=192.0.2.254
For the default gateway you should use another file:
::::::::::::::/etc/sysconfig/network
::::::::::::::GATEWAY=192.0.2.1
...
