For RHEL4 these are the plans:
3.4.4-2 is U2 gcc, 3.4.5-2 is U3 gcc. 3.4.5-2 added some debug info
generation fixes systemtap relies on and kernels must be built with that
version. 3.4.5-2 has been shipped as part of U3 beta.
As CentOS tracks RHEL4 it surely triggers the same traps. So CentOS is
currently working up on a RHEL Beta channel..
