Hi,
I'm looking for an external hard drive array that fulfills the
following criteria:
1. Presents the disks, individually, in a way that has solid linux
kernel support (something like u320 scsi or SAS or...)
2. Takes sata drives
3. Doesn't do raid (or if it does allows that to be disabled)
4. Takes at least 4 disks
4. Cheap (i'll be upset if i can't find something for under a grand).
So, any suggestions? I've been googling a bit and asking people, but
these requirements seem to be a bit of an oddity. The closest i've found
is the hp smart array 20 enclosure (http://url.ie/st) which is vastly
over priced for what i want ($2.8k+) and just falls into the category of
overkill.
Thanks,
Steve
