Hi,
I am trying to build a new Linux machine using Ubuntu.
The h/w is:
AMD Athlon64 3200
2GB RAM
Sil 3112A SATA controller
ATI Radeon Express 200.
If I boot using the Ubuntu Live CD (5.10) for i386, it craps out when
it wants to start X-windows. If I use the CD for AMD64 it stops when
trying to "enter preinstallation session".
I guess it could be that the AMD CD itself is maybe bad, but i have a
feeling it is not finding the CD again.
Any pointers?
