> "...something which actually helps people" ...you could add 'at Google'?
> "I know Google is in the latter camp" - Cool, and I'm pretty sure
they're not, ;). I don't think 'helping people' is really a priority for
them at all...and I bet the shareholders hope it's not, unless that
means them. But, neither of us can evidence our points of view and
better than the other, so we can't go around saying how Google is
'Helping People' or how 'They're not' - you can swing the banner all day
and I can swing the other one - pointless, but at least more balanced
than letting this corporate 'brainwashing' continue, (you see, there's
my opinion again)...:)
It's just whenever someone gets on the 'box with an opinion - someone
else can do exactly the same. It always seems funny that it's usually
someone who has something to gain financially, .....lol :)
With Google's position, they could do so many things to 'help
people'...such a shame they don't take advantage of that. Where are the
charity buttons on the homepage - donate instantly etc....? But, like I
said - it's cool for a business to be more interested in money than
people - I just object when they try to make out they're 'helping'
anyone other than themselves... if it didn't benefit them financially,
they wouldn't do it, simple as that. Cool with me, but not
'helping'.....more like 'trading'.... :)

Lloyd
