"An Evening with Vint Cerf" – Chief Internet Evangelist,
Google – Thursday, March 2nd, 2006

I would like to invite [ILUG] to attend an evening talk
with Vint Cerf, Chief Internet Evangelist, Google.
The talk will take place at Google, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4
at 6.30pm sharp.

Vint will address the current status of the Internet, some of the
technology changes that are driving its evolution and some of the global
policy issues that are being addressed. Among many such issues are IPv6,
mobility, increasing capacity in the core and the edges,
broadband alternatives, competition, security and authentication.
He will suggest a number of new applications relevant to business and
research, before turning to the device-driven Internet that includes
sensor networks, control systems, Internet-enabled appliances among
others. Finally, he will report on the status of the interplanetary
extension of the Internet now underway at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory
in Pasadena, California.

If you wish to attend, you must pre-register by emailing your name,
organisation and a contact number to vintcerfdublin at google.com

We expect demand to be very high for this so early registration is
advisable.

Pádraig.
