FWIW, IMHO, FOSDEM is the best conference in all of Europe.

While many others in FOSDEM's size category are half full of stalls staffed
by the marketing departments of various companies, FOSDEM is full of free
software developers, and people interested in free software.  Most of the
talks are technical, but they're also interesting to a non-developer
audience since they showcase the recent technological advances in free
software.  There are also some non-technical talks.
