[ILUG] Ubuntu upgrade bombed

[ILUG] Ubuntu upgrade bombed

Kevin Philp kevin at cybercolloids.net

I was running Ubuntu Breezy on an AMD64 and recently tried to upgrade to
Dapper by:

1. Changing the sources.list to point to the Heanet Dapper files

2. aptitude update && aptitude dist-upgrade

It seemed to run OK and after about an hour of downloading files, crunching
away and asking about 3 questions it finished. Then when I rebooted it bombed
claiming it couldn't find /dev/hda2 which is the root partition.

Anybody happen to ahve a quick fix or should I write it off and reinstall from
scratch?

Kevin.
