[ILUG] grey listing and dapper samba question.

[ILUG] grey listing and dapper samba question.

Trying to kill 2 birds with one stone.

I was normally logging into my mail system and find 200 + spams a day. Today there was only 10 ( this is after adding postgrey with spamassassin ) class :) from keeping an eye on my log files I do not seem to have lost any mails of interest.

The second part of this mail revolves around dapper and smbfs. This is from a clean install of Dapper with build-essentials added and samba.

If I try to mount a shared directory off a machine here I get the following message ....

[4309729.504000] smbfs: mount_data version 1684370019 is not supported

I have googled and only found people asking about this with no solution. This worked with Breezey.

The relevant entry in my fstab is

//IE163882/D$   /mnt/D          smbfs   defaults,credentials=/etc/cifspw,workgroup=INFORMATICA,users  0    0

and /etc/cifspw contains 2 lines

username=jcorcora
password=********

password above is correct in the file.

Any pointers?

Thanks
Jason
