Less hardware to manage, smaller data centers, better utilization of existing resources (a file and print server
wouldn't be at 100% for example - well, unless it's Windoze!), less expensive to kit-out 1 super-server system rather
than 2 or more servers.

...and a plethora of other advantages I'm sure...
