Super-servers would usually have hot swap-able RAID, Redundant power supplies, more than 1 CPU and self-diagnosis
capability so that it keeps chugging along and keeps the IT department posted on its health. Most clued-in IT folks
would also have some form of a disaster plan with contingency around the hardware aspects of keeping such systems up and
running (co-location, entire redundant system etc)
