Take an organisation with 3 servers running 3 seperate services. 3
single points of failure and most probably a waste of hardware.

Now rejig that, deploy 2 sets of clustered Xen virtual machines to run
the services and you end up with a High availability solution with a hot
spare machine that can have all 6 Xen instances ready to be deployed at
a seconds notice.

Virtualisation is the extremely usefull in this regard.
