I was getting the same errors, I think due to having Debian
unstable repositories in sources.list. 

I fixed it by removing the entries for libc6 and tzdata from
/var/lib/dpkg/status, apt-get update-ing and apt-get -f install-ing
again (with edits to sources.list also, of course).
