It doesn't - but that doesn't dispute the fact that your Linux box is a 
Gnu/Linux box. I'm not one of the Gnu/Linux zealots - it's simply too 
messy to pronounce - but arguing that they're wrong is indefensible. 
Linux on its own is useless.
