It's one of those problems I intend to solve at some point in my CFT
through judicious application of perl and sudo.
Ideally I'd think in terms of:
1. Does mii-tool show a link on eth1? If yes, try dhclient.
1a. If mii-tool but no dhclient, does my static config work?
2. If not does iwlist eth1 scan and see if a familiar AP is in sight and
try to connect.
3. If not, is there an open AP in sight? (e.g. free / commercial wifi)
4. If not, is my mobile in sight? (Not a default start option)
