[ILUG] Linksys, vsftpd and port forwarding

is it me or is the port forwarding on linksys routers not the best? I
just had to enable pasv_promiscuous on my vsftpd, because obviously the
linksys doesn't pass on the requests cohesively. before that one would
be able to connect fine, change directories and upload and download no
prob - as long as one knew the directory structure by heart! A directory
listing request time outand finally this evening fireFTP had the good
manners to give me the error message "425 bad IP".

This didn't use to happen with my SMC or even the Caiman from Eircom. I
am not overly happy with it either. any suggestions?

Oh and I got the linksys from blueface beacuse of the phone ports ...

thanks

Bernhard
