When we hosted the GNOME conference in Trinity, we had Fluendo do the
streaming using their flumotion streaming server. It was relatively easy
to set up, however, we weren't able to connect into the theatre audio
system which required us to go out and hire microphones. Mads Haahr and
Paul Reilly will remember it well ;)

Talk to Mads and Paul - they've done it all before, and I'm sure the
requirements for aKademy won't be too much different to GUADEC in many
respects.
Good luck! ;)
