have you considered the Sun X2100? These Opteron 1U servers start at
€690 (diskless) and take up to two 80GB, 250GB or 500GB SATA disks.
There is an onboard raid 1 controller as standard and it has a free
64-bit PCI-Express slot (8-lane, low-profile, short length). Price
includes 3yr h/w warranty. see www.synoptix.ie and click on the AMD
Opteron logo for specs. I couldn't tell from the website if this slot
suits the TE411P though, it looks like it only supports the older
standard PCI slots?
