Linux is actually a very good case for university education - Linus
wrote the original Linux kernel while he was still in college, and the
history of the early days of Linux development has strong ties to the
history of Minix, which was used to teach OS theory.

A proper university education doesn't teach you that a spade is a
spade - don't confuse that with the Irish Leaving Cert which really is
about regurgitating what your teachers tell you,

We've all been in situations where we've had to deal with people who
know "diddly squat" about what they are doing, but I've not noticed a
tie in with whether they had degrees or not,
