I have an RHCE, and it was well worth the money my company spent for it :-0
Its a lot of cash for 4 days and an exam, however, the failure rate is
quite high, especially among those who just sit the exam.

LPI is well cheaper, and more generic. Companies seems to only know
the RHCE though.
You could do some FAS courses for the LPI, then sit the RHCE exam for
350 odd quid. I plan on doing the RHCA at some stage, but its very
expensive. €15,000 altogether!
