It's a small World. Jorg Schilling is the author/maintainer of cdrecord
that I mentioned in the question. He is obstinately pro Solaris and
anti-linux, much in the way Richard Dawkins is in the Evolution/Creation
debate. Mind you, beyond attacking the gnu OS (libc, make, configure) he
didn't show a better way.

They _do_ go on a lot on LMKL, don't they? How do they get time to write
software?
