[ILUG] Anyone know about CHAP and EIRCOM?

[ILUG] Anyone know about CHAP and EIRCOM?

A development this pm - that may be related...

When "we" (not me !) were checking which versions of pppd, etc, were
installed, the system (YaST) showed RP-PPPOE (and other ppp modules) as "not
installed", yet the logs clearly show RP-PPPOE as "running".

So, "we" (not me!) selected the "install" option on these modules. In all
subsequent "logins" to eircom (but there were only a few), CHAP never
failed.

It's very early days... We don't understand either! We'll keep you posted...
