Hi there,

[ILUG] tar question

I am experiencing the same error as this thread however the -P option
does not seem to fix it in my instance. Is it possible that an upgrade
of GNU tar will solve the problem? We need to use relative paths in our
tar command and cannot type a definite path. I know this .. Is what
causes the error however I need to force the restore from tape if at all
possible.
Thanks & Regards,
Gary Wilson
